Can FirstEnergy employees work remotely?

The company says yes.

FirstEnergy Solutions, the parent company of FirstEnergy Corp. (NYSE: FE), is working remotely as the coronavirus pandemic spreads across the country.
The company is allowing its employees to work from home, but it doesn’t mean they can’t go to the office.
“We are still operating our business as usual,” said the company in a statement. “Our team members are still required to report to the office. They are still required to wear their masks and adhere to social distancing and hand hygiene protocols.”
FirstEnergy said its employees are still being paid and will receive paychecks as usual.
“The safety of our employees, customers, and the communities we serve is our top priority,” said FirstEnergy CEO Anthony A. Calabrese. “Our team members are working diligently to support our customers and communities and will continue to do so until this crisis is over.”
The company also said it is providing “essential services” to customers and communities.
“The safety and well-being of our customers and communities are our top priorities,” said FirstEnergy CEO Anthony A. Calabrese.
