The study, which was published in the journal Security Studies, also found that a guard who is a member of a union, works for a company that is headquartered in the Northeast or the Midwest, and works for a company with more than $10 million in annual revenue is much less likely to be assaulted than a guard who is not a member of a union, works for a company with fewer than 100 employees, and is employed by a company with less than $1 million in annual revenue.
