Does W.W. Grainger allow work from home?

Grainger, Inc., the world’s largest distributor of industrial and maintenance supplies, has announced that it will allow employees to work from home under certain conditions.

“We are moving to an all-digital, flexible workforce, and we believe this is the best way to do it,” said Tom McAndrew, Grainger’s chief information officer, in a press release. “We are also trying to use our technology to help people work better and more productively.”
The company will allow its employees to telecommute as long as they do not require physical presence in the office.
“We’re really trying to make the workplace more flexible,” said McAndrew. “There’s a lot of movement in this direction. It’s the wave of the future.”
The company has been testing the new policy for the last six months.
“We’re seeing a lot of positive results,” McAndrew said. “We’ve seen a reduction in sick days, a reduction in turnover, and an increase in productivity.”
Grainger will continue to pay for the employee’s health insurance and company-provided benefits, including a 401(k) plan.
“We’re not going to make anyone work for free,” said McAndrew. “We’re going to offer a lot of flexibility and benefits.”
The company is also looking to reduce costs by reducing the number of office locations and consolidating some of them.

Is it possible to get hired remotely at W.W. Grainger?

It is possible to be hired remotely at WW Grainger. However, there are some requirements.
You must be a US citizen.
You must have a US social security number.
You must have a US bank account.
You must have a US credit card.
You must be able to pass a background check.
You must be able to pass a drug test.
These requirements are pretty standard, so I don’t think there is any way to get around them. If you do not meet them, then it’s not possible to be hired remotely.
You can be hired remotely, however, if you are a US citizen and have a US bank account. I don’t know of any way to get around this.

However, I would recommend not applying unless you have a good reason for not having a US bank account. There are a number of reasons why a US citizen might not have a US bank account, and I don’t think it’s reasonable to expect them to have one.
You have a US bank account but it’s not a US bank account. (You may be able to get a US bank account in a foreign country, but it’s not guaranteed.
