Will remote jobs stay remote?

The answer is yes. The way I see it, if remote jobs stay remote, then I’m going to be a happier remote employee.

Why? Because remote work is a lifestyle. It’s not a job. It’s a lifestyle. It’s a lifestyle that allows me to work from anywhere in the world. It’s a lifestyle that allows me to work from a beach, in a hammock, on a mountain, in the woods, or on a boat. It’s a lifestyle that allows me to work at home or in a coffee shop, in my office or in a hotel room. It’s a lifestyle that allows me to work from a library, a park bench, or in the middle of nowhere. It’s a lifestyle that allows me to work on a schedule that is totally flexible.
When I first moved to the U.S. from India, I thought that remote work would be the same as working from home. I thought that it would be the same as working from a beach, in a hammock, on a mountain, in the woods, or on a boat. I was wrong. Working from a beach, in a hammock, on a mountain, in the woods, or on a boat is not remotely the same as working remotely. It’s different. It’s better. It’s more fulfilling.
