Is San Jose a safe city?

The mayor thinks so. Police chief says not so much.

Published: April 25, 2013
The police chief of San Jose, Calif., said Thursday that his officers would not enforce a new ordinance that would allow residents to carry concealed firearms.
The decision by Chief Larry Esquivel, announced in an email to the city’s 1,300-member police force, was an abrupt reversal from his position in February, when he said his officers would enforce the ordinance.
“I have been informed by the mayor’s office that he wants to see this ordinance enforced,” Chief Esquivel wrote in the email. “I have informed them that I am not going to enforce this ordinance.”
The ordinance, which was passed by the City Council in January, was widely seen as an effort to give the police chief a power that he has long sought: the authority to decide whether to enforce the state’s gun laws.
The chief has said that he will not enforce the ordinance because it would be “in conflict with the state law,” and the state law, he said, requires that the police enforce the law.
The mayor, Chuck Reed, said that he did not object to the police chief’s decision to allow the ordinance to be ignored.

Is San Jose a bad place to live?

If you’re a young person, you probably don’t think so.

The median age of residents in the city is just under 40, and the population is growing rapidly. The city’s median household income is about $78,000, and the unemployment rate is just over 3 percent.
But if you’re a resident of a majority-minority neighborhood, the picture looks quite different.
You’re more likely to be a victim of crime than a perpetrator, and you’re less likely to find a job, according to a new report from the Pew Research Center.
The report, which looks at the nation’s 100 largest cities, found that young people in San Jose are less likely to find jobs than young people in other cities. It also found that young people in San Jose are less likely to own their own homes than young people in other cities.
Those disparities are a reflection of the city’s racial and ethnic makeup.
The city is home to more than 50 percent of the state’s Latinos and Asians, and about a third of the state’s African-Americans.
“We’re one of the few cities in the state that’s a majority minority city,” said Mayor Sam Liccardo. “It’s a huge part of what makes San Jose a great place to live.

Is San Jose Hispanic?

There are several different ways to answer this question. The most obvious one is to look at the total population of San Jose. If the city were 100% Hispanic, then San Jose would be the largest city in California with a Hispanic population of 100%.

However, the population of San Jose is only 76.2% Hispanic. So, if San Jose were 100% Hispanic, then it would be the third largest city in California, with a Hispanic population of 76.2%.
If we look at the Census Bureau’s own definition of Hispanic, we see that San Jose is only 61.1% Hispanic.
In order to determine whether San Jose is a majority or a minority Hispanic city, we need to look at the Hispanic population of San Jose by ethnicity.
The Hispanic population of San Jose is 59.2% Mexican American, 10.8% Puerto Rican, and 9.9% Cuban.
If we look at the total population of San Jose, then the Hispanic population is 61.1% of the total population.
So, San Jose is a majority Hispanic city.
However, if we look at the Census Bureau’s own definition of Hispanic, then San Jose is only 61.1% Hispanic.

Does San Jose get snow?

It’s hard to imagine that San Jose could get snow, but it has. In fact, there were two snow storms in the past two weeks.

The first one was a couple of days ago, and it dumped about 6 inches of snow on the area. That’s about average for this time of year, but the second storm, which occurred on the weekend, was a bit more than average.
The storm brought about 6 inches of snow to the area, which is a lot for the time of year. It was the second biggest snowstorm in San Jose’s history, and it was enough to shut down some of the city’s major roads.
There was a lot of traffic on the roads, and the city was busy trying to clear the roads. In fact, the city spent about $1.5 million to clear the roads.
The storm was the second biggest in San Jose’s history, but it wasn’t the biggest. The biggest storm was in 2010, and it brought about 16 inches of snow to the area.
The storm that occurred on the weekend was the second biggest in San Jose’s history, and it was enough to shut down some of the city’s major roads.

It’s not the weather. It’s not the natural beauty. It’s not the proximity to Silicon Valley. It’s not even the tech industry.
It’s the people.
They’re kind. They’re funny. They’re friendly. They’re welcoming. They’re happy.
There’s a reason the word “California” means sunshine, surf and beaches, and the word “California” means Silicon Valley.

Is San Jose safer than San Francisco?

The answer is no.

By this time of year, it’s hard to imagine a more dismal stretch of the San Francisco Bay Area than the one that has just passed. It’s a time of year when the summer fog rolls in and the temperature drops and the winds blow in from the ocean.
And it’s a time of year when people, for some reason, start to think about crime.
For the past three years, I’ve been compiling a list of the most dangerous cities in the United States. I started in 2013, when I looked at the top 100 cities for violent crime, and the list has grown since then.
I’ve been using the FBI’s Uniform Crime Report to determine which cities have the highest rates of violent crime, property crime and overall crime. I’ve also been using data from the FBI’s annual Crime in the United States report to determine which cities have the highest rates of violent crime, property crime and overall crime.

This year, the list includes more than 1,000 cities.
Some of the cities on the list are obvious choices, such as San Francisco, Oakland and Los Angeles.
